How you will make a difference 

 You will help us “change finance to finance change” by working together with software development, IT operations, and IT security to ensure our systems are reliable, scalable, and efficient. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to automate workflows, optimize infrastructure, and foster a culture of DevOps best practices. Owns the platform vision, roadmap, and prioritization for key technology platforms, aligning stakeholder needs with data-driven decisions to deliver measurable business and user value.

• Co-create platform roadmaps: Work with functional domains to align stakeholders, vendors, and priorities. 

• Prioritize for impact: Balance value, feasibility, and risk to drive meaningful outcomes. 

• Communicate complexity: Translate technical concepts for diverse stakeholders. Uphold our values: Ensure all solutions align with privacy, security, ethical, and legal requirements (in collaboration with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams). 

• Steer the engineering team day to day: remove impediments, clarify scope, and ensure delivery.

 To be successful in this role, you will: 

• Azure cloud & Kubernetes expertise: deployment, scaling, and optimization. 

• Cloud-native development expertise with SDLC & DevOps integration. 

• Advocate and utilize modern Deployment Techniques: 

• CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, ArgoCD). 

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, ARM/Bicep templates). 

• Steer on automating deployments, security guardrails and collaboration between teams 

• Bring a Product mindset: Ability to think beyond technical solutions —focusing on user needs, business value, and long-term impact. 

• Have strong Stakeholder Management skills: Ability to navigate complex landscapes, manage competing priorities, and align diverse teams. 

• Strong Communication skills: Strong written and verbal skills to articulate technical and non-technical concepts clearly. 

• Bring an Adaptive Mindset: Confidence in leading change in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.  

Your future colleagues 

 The role is newly created to support two large digital and technology teams, which are currently working together. You will have an important role in the collaboration between the teams, on one side the infrastructure engineers and on the other hand the software developers. For now the role is placed within the infrastructure engineering team, Platform and Infrastructure with opportunities to influence the broader digital strategy. You will report to the Head of Platforms and Infrastructure. The team consists of around 20 IT colleagues who work as professionals and run the IT for the Bank. You will work closely with an Enterprise (Azure) architect and 2 other DevOps engineers.

And of course, great remuneration and working conditions (CLA Banken): 

• a monthly salary between € 69.074 and € 94983 based on a 36-hour workweek. The fixed annual salary is calculated by multiplying the monthly salary by 13.96, including the 13th month and holiday pay.
