Currently, we’re looking for an Finance Specialist. This is your chance to contribute to Triodos Investment Management (T-IM), a global leader in impact investing, while developing your skills in a values-driven organisation.

 

How you will make a difference

You will help us ‘change finance to finance change’ by ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of accounting and reporting for Triodos Investment Management and its managed funds. As a Finance Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in financial oversight, process improvement, and stakeholder collaboration—all while upholding our commitment to sustainable finance.

 

As part of your role, you will:

  • Own accounting and reporting activities, including (semi-)annual reporting, month-end closing, NAV calculations, and invoice processing for T-IM and its investment funds/foundations.
  • Oversee and challenge third-party administrators on fund administration, NAV packs, financial statements, capital account reporting, and expense records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare and review internal/external reports, such as regulatory filings, financial statements, tax declarations, and board reporting.
  • Perform analytical reviews, identify anomalies, and maintain clear, evidence-backed documentation to support audit readiness.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards (e.g., Lux GAAP, Dutch GAAP, IFRS), regulatory requirements, tax obligations, and governance frameworks.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers to deliver timely, accurate financial information.
  • Drive process improvements and contribute to multidisciplinary projects to enhance efficiency and controls.

To be successful in this role:

You have:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in audit (private equity/debt/alternatives) or fund administration—an audit background is a strong advantage.
  • Deep knowledge of fund accounting, including private equity/debt mechanics, investment instruments, and fund structures.
  • Familiarity with accounting standards (e.g., Lux GAAP, Dutch GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Proven organisational skills, with the ability to manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with operations teams and external service providers.
  • A risk- and control-aware mindset, with an audit-ready approach to documentation and process adherence.
