    Currently, we’re looking for a Financial Controller at Triodos Investment Management.

     

    How you will make a difference

    You will help us to ‘finance change to change finance’ by managing financial information and providing associated analyses and internal reports. You will take ownership in structuring of and reporting on financial and managerial data, support setting business targets and monitor performance, advise on the financial consequences of major decisions, and make recommendations to improve and safeguard financial results.

     

    Key resposibilities:

    • further improve the tooling to report on financial and non-financial data;
    • prepare financial reports and analyses for Triodos IM’s Board and Directors;
    • collate, analyse and present information to compose the three-year planning, annual budgets and periodic outlooks;
    • provide solicited and unsolicited advice on business cases by challenging assumptions;
    • maintain effective working relationships within the organisation, delivering high-quality professional services with guidance from senior colleagues;
    • develop your own capabilities through ongoing training and coaching, maintaining an up-to-date understanding of relevant technology, regulation, and industry best practices.

    To be successful in this role, you will:

    • ability to organise data from multiple sources for standardised use in monthly reporting and ad hoc analyses;
    • take on and expand the role as data steward on behalf of the Controlling team;
    • competence in accounting, financial analysis and reporting, preferably from another asset manager or financial institution;
    • excellent command of MS Office Excel, preferably proficient in MS Power BI;
    • knowledge of Exact (Globe) and Tagetik is not required but considered an advantage;
    • good command of English (preferably also Dutch), both written and oral;
    • relevant academic qualifications in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field are desirable.

     

    Furthermore, it is expected that you will have:

    Your future colleagues

    You will be part of the Controlling team. The team consists of two other senior business controllers, headed by the Director Finance & Control. The Controlling team is considered a strategic business partner to Triodos IM’s Board and Directors by applying advanced analyses and a critical forward-looking way of working.
