Quality Assurance Officer KYC & Financial Crime 

 

How you will make a difference

You will help us 'finance change to change finance', by developing, improving, implementing and executing our KYC & Financial Crime Quality Assurance Framework. For the team, we are looking for someone to carry out the work mainly for our office in Belgium, among others.

In this role, you will:

  • Autonomously perform quality assurance activities covering all financial crime processes, with an emphasis on CDD, Sanctions, Customer Activity Monitoring and Fraud.
  • Identify in a risk-based manner, instances of non-compliance with KYC policies and procedures and report these and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Regularly Engage with the local KYC&FC Operating Unit to constructively share cases, dilemmas, and knowledge.
  • Ensure that findings are communicated in a supportive manner, considering development needs and ensuring that findings are communicated to all relevant stakeholders such as the KYC&FC Operating Units and Compliance.
  • Contribute to proposals for improvements to existing processes and policies to ensure Triodos Bank remains compliant with legal and regulatory requirements and identify gaps in non-compliance where necessary.
  • Perform delegated activities to support the identification and evaluation of risks, issues.
  • Support the team leader in collecting, preparing, analysing and finalising reports for submission to relevant risk forums and committees with a focus on topics of specific interest to the Belgian sector.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in law, criminology, business economics or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in KYC and financial crime.
  • Experience in providing training, coaching and feedback with a track record of improving quality standards within an operational environment.
  • Skilled in collecting and using management information data.
  • ACAMS qualification (or similar body) related to financial crime or willingness to complete it within the first 12 months of your position.
  • A passion for crime fighting and a strong customer focus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Speaking and writing French is preferred in addition to Dutch
  • Excellent proficiency in English
  • Demonstrable affinity with Triodos Bank's mission and values.
