The Opportunity

We are recruiting a Card & Payments Co-worker to join our Customer Services team at our Bristol Head Office. This is a full-time, fixed-term role until May 2027, with the possibility of extension.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth and compliant payment operations, delivering exceptional service to both external and internal customers while meeting regulatory and performance standards.

Hybrid working arrangements are available following successful completion of onboarding and competency sign-off, requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in our Bristol office (with flexibility to work from home on other days, based on business needs). The first 4–6 weeks will be fully office-based for training and induction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work to achieve SLAs and KPIs ensuring timely completion of daily workflows.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring efficient and compliant payment processing.
  • Follow and maintain up-to-date payment processes, adhering to regulatory requirements and internal governance.
  • Manage a structured daily workplan, escalating any issues that may impact deadlines or controls.
  • Handle customer follow-ups for complex payment queries or when additional information is required.
  • Propose process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Ensure all work aligns with banking regulations and best practices.
  • Manage customer complaints in line with FCA guidelines, ensuring they are recorded and resolved promptly.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and customers to ensure smooth payment operations.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, control awareness, and record keeping

What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with experience in payments, finance, banking, or a regulated financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience or knowledge of UK payment schemes (e.g., Faster Payments, BACS, CHAPS) and payments operations, including risk management and controls to ensure compliance and operational resilience. This is essential to success in the role.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • A proactive mindset, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • A customer-focused approach, with excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining high standards.

If you thrive in a fast-paced, regulated environment and are passionate about delivering efficient payment services, we’d love to hear from you.

What We Offer:

  • Salary Range: £27,500-£31,000 (depending on experience).
  • A supportive, inclusive workplace where diversity is valued.
  • The opportunity to contribute to sustainable banking and make a positive impact.

Diversity & Inclusion:

We are committed to diversity and inclusion and encourage applications from underrepresented and neurodiverse candidates. If you feel you could add value to this role - even if you don’t meet every requirement - we’d still love to hear from you.

Triodos Bank reserves the right to close this vacancy once sufficient applications are received. If this opportunity interests you, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
