The Opportunity
We are delighted to be recruiting a Compliance Manager to join our Bristol head office on a part time – 4 days per week, permanent contract. This second line role sits within TBUK’s second line Compliance team as part of the wider Risk department. Reporting to the Senior Compliance Manager, you will provide advice, guidance, and assurance across TBUK, ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements. You will support and oversee first line activities through advisory engagement, report on the effectiveness of systems and controls as part of assurance monitoring activity and play a key role in supporting and challenging stakeholders to manage compliance risk effectively. This position offers significant scope to make an impact and drive positive change, along with excellent opportunities for learning, development, and professional growth.

 

We offer flexible, hybrid working - typically one day per week in our Bristol office, with the option to work from home on other days.

 

Key Responsibilities will require you to:

  • Promote compliance through engagement with a variety of stakeholders and provide proactive, proportionate risk-based advisory support and constructive challenge.
  • Ensure delivery of the compliance monitoring assurance plan, leading and completing individual reviews.
  • Contribute to, oversee the completion of, and present value adding compliance reporting.
  • Interact with regulators as required, providing relevant information and overseeing regulatory returns.
  • Provide compliance representation across a variety of governance meetings, forums and committees, including across the wider Triodos Group.
  • Writing second line compliance opinions, supporting business initiatives.
  • Support and coach team members.
  • Build strong trusted relationships, driving a forward looking view of compliance risks.
  • Raise the profile of the compliance and financial crime function in line with strategic objectives.
  • Maintain horizon scanning for new or emerging compliance risks and regulation.
  • Drive a strong compliance culture, supporting policy compliance.

 

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking an experienced compliance professional with a strong background in UK financial services, particularly in retail / business banking and regulatory frameworks. You’ll combine technical expertise with a pragmatic, forward-looking approach and excellent stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience in compliance roles within UK financial services, with working knowledge of BCOBS/COBS/CASS, FCA requirements and Consumer Duty.
  • Proven ability to lead compliance monitoring, provide technical advice, and deliver clear, concise reporting and policy documentation.
  • Skilled at analysing complex regulatory changes, managing risk, and building trusted relationships at all levels.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to supporting compliance culture and team development.

 

You will have a genuine interest in ethical, sustainable banking, a relevant compliance qualification is desirable.

 

What We Offer:

In return for your hard work and expertise, you will receive a competitive full time equivalent salary of between £57,000 and £60,000 depending on experience, plus access to our extensive benefits package, where most of our benefits are non-contributory.
