Opportunity
We are delighted to be recruiting for a Corporate Communications Specialist on a 12-month fixed term contract basis, to work closely with the Head of Corporate Communications across the full spectrum of the Bank’s PR and communications activity. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to traditional corporate communications, media relations, online positioning, reputation management, and all aspects of internal communications. You will have the chance to build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including media, agencies, and partners. This is a great opportunity to deliver real impact within a strategic communications role by planning, developing, and coordinating high-profile campaigns and events that shape the Bank’s reputation and communications strategy.
We offer flexible, hybrid working, typically with at least two days per week in our Bristol Head Office, and the option to work from home on other days.
Responsibilities will require you to:
- Plan and deliver internal and external communications activities, ensuring they support the Bank’s goals and brand.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, media contacts, and other key partners.
- Write, review, and approve a range of communications materials, such as press releases, articles, and social media posts.
- Support and brief spokespeople ahead of media interviews and events.
- Monitor and protect the Bank’s reputation, providing recommendations and responding to issues when needed.
- Measure the impact of communications activities and report regularly to the Management Team.
- Support the planning and delivery of events, sponsorships, and partnerships, representing the Bank when required.
- Help manage budgets and support the team with general communications and marketing tasks.
What we are looking for
We are seeking someone with strong experience in communications, who is passionate about making a positive impact for people and the planet. You will be proactive, highly organised, and confident in building relationships both within the team and externally. You will bring a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Extensive experience in communications, either in an agency or in-house setting.
- A proven ability to manage complex projects, delivering on time and within budget.
- Experience in building and strengthening the reputation of a values-driven organisation or brand.
- Excellent organisational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence in developing relationships with journalists and key external partners.
- Good understanding of strategic internal communications and employee engagement programmes
- The ability to represent the Bank in a professional and positive manner.
- A strong personal connection to the mission and values of Triodos Bank.
- Knowledge of sustainability, environmental, or social sectors is desirable.
- Experience organising events and using a data-led approach, including AI tools, is an advantage.
