Currently, we’re looking for a Financial Risk Manager

 

How you will make a difference: 

 

The Financial Risks Managers work closely together on different topics, both from a financial risk management perspective as well as an impact/sustainability risk perspective. Triodos Investment Management has investments in both listed assets and alternative investments (private equity and private debt). Financial Risk Management supports the investment fund activities with professional expertise, and advices on the financial and sustainability risks associated to the investment portfolio.

 

 

Together with one other Financial Risk Manager, you will:

  • support the organisation on financial risk related topics, and (learn to) challenge the first line in a constructive way.
  • support the development of the Financial Risk Management framework and help guiding the organisation in defining its risk appetite.
  • assist in performing and, over time, independently conduct risk analysis in the financial field (e.g. of new investments).
  • support the representation of the Risk & Compliance department in the Impact and Financial Risk Committee, assessing the financial and sustainability risk of the funds.
  • contribute to monitoring the correctness, completeness and consistency of systems, models and reporting of information.
  • help to increase awareness of financial risks within the company (for example through presentations, training and reports).
  • prepare appropriate reporting for internal and external use.

 

To be successful in this role, you will:  

 

  • have the ability to combine a risk attitude with business understanding as to influence the organization in a positive, constructive manner both formally as well as informally.
  • have a critical and proactive attitude, yet able to adjust your working style and methods when needed.
  • have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the potential or already capable of, clarifying complex topics, methods and techniques to stakeholders at different levels.

 

Furthermore, it’s expected that you will have:

 

  • we are looking for a candidate with medior experience and knowledge in financial risk management within financial institutions, such as an institutional asset manager, a bank, insurance company or with (alternative) investment funds. Experience with emerging market investments is a plus.
  • educational background in business administration, financial economics, econometrics, accountancy or law.
  • interest in further professional development in the financial risk management field.
  • progress towards, or interest in obtaining, post-graduate qualifications such as CFA or FRM.
  • knowledge of AIFMD fund regulation (as a plus) 
  • you are already located in the Netherlands (residence requirement).

 

Your Future Colleagues

 

 You will be joining the Risk & Compliance team in the role of Financial Risk Manager. The team is positioned in the second line and consists of co-workers in the domain of Operational Risk Management, Financial Risk Management and Compliance.
