Do you want to make a difference and contribute to creating a better world? Are you interested in developing your skills and knowledge, while putting your ideals to work? Join us, we are a frontrunner in ethical banking and global impact investing, and we need people like you to make change happen.
We believe that money can change the world for the better. In fact, our organisation was founded on this belief. Our mission is to create a society that protects and promotes the quality of life of all its members with human dignity at its core.
Currently, we’re navigating an exciting organizational evolution. Due to our strategic Fit for Impact program, we would like to bring on board a Head of Pricing Strategy and Financial/Impact Steering.
How you will make a difference
You will help us to ‘finance change and change finance’, by translating our overarching group and commercial strategy into actionable targets and data-driven steering metrics. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), you will ensure that our commercial decisions optimize financial return, risk exposure, and societal impact.
You will:
- Translate our strategic commercial ambitions into actionable targets, including capital allocation (RWA), product volumes, margins, pricing outcomes, cost-to-serve, and social/environmental impact.
- Lead active portfolio steering across countries and dedicated business units, driving proactive interventions and corrective actions alongside Managing Directors when outcomes deviate from targets.
- Own the global pricing strategy, frameworks, and commercial models, setting clear direction based on customer value, risk, and product economics.
- Fully align our commercial actions with the strict capital, liquidity, and risk requirements set by internal controlling and risk management bodies.
- Make complex impact-risk-return trade-offs transparent, providing objective insights to enable informed, timely decision-making for senior stakeholders and governance committees.
- Develop, embed, and continuously enhance a high-quality commercial steering backbone utilizing modern dashboards and data analytics across all markets.
- Champion the operationalization of our impact data strategy, establishing structured, data-led ways of working and fostering continuous improvement.
- Serve as a trusted sparring partner to the executive commercial leadership, finance leaders, and risk leaders within our central pricing committees.
What you will bring
Your unique potential and your values matter for us most. We look for people who are self-aware and who think in a holistic way, always conscious about their impact on society, environment, and the economy.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Think systemically from the perspective of the whole organization, easily finding meaning, logic, and strategic direction within complex corporate ecosystems.
- Demonstrate an agile growth mindset by embracing organizational change, learning rapidly, and proactively establishing open feedback loops.
- Be a deeply results-oriented leader who prioritizes effectively, gives clear direction on the underlying "why," and effortlessly influences diverse stakeholders to achieve goals.
Furthermore, it is desirable that you will have:
- Extensive leadership experience in commercial portfolio management and technical portfolio steering within the financial services sector.
- Proven experience with capital and RWA allocation, scenario analysis, profitability forecasting, and integrating ESG or climate risk factors into frameworks.
- Practice in working at a bank with comprehensive pricing strategies, commercial models, fee structures, and detailed sensitivity analyses.
- Deep banking technical acumen, specifically regarding P&L management and complex balance sheet dynamics.
- A strong foundation in risk ownership, data-driven decision-making, and fostering commercial growth and innovation.
- Exceptional stakeholder management capabilities, with a track record of driving cross-functional alignment.
- Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written); Dutch is a strong plus.
Your future colleagues
You will be reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), acting as his right hand person, and cooperate closely with a dedicated group of international experts. The commercial steering team currently consists of a highly driven team of 6 analyst.
In this strategic group role, you will collaborate intensively outside your direct team with Country Managing Directors, Value Stream Leads, Product Managers, and senior leadership across Finance, Risk, Legal, and Technology. You will also actively guide and enable our primary Pricing Committees (Mortgages, Business Lending, and Funds Entrusted).
