Do you want to make a difference and contribute to creating a better world? Are you interested in developing your skills and knowledge, while putting your ideals to work? Join us, we are a frontrunner in ethical banking and global impact investing, and we need people like you to make change happen.

We believe that money can change the world for the better. In fact, our organisation was founded on this belief. Our mission is to create a society that protects and promotes the quality of life of all its members with human dignity at its core.

Currently, we’re looking for a Lead Project and Programme Management within our Strategy Execution team.

How you will make a difference

  • You will help us to ‘finance change and change finance’, by leading the project and programme management capability within Strategy Execution and ensuring our strategic transformation initiatives are delivered with discipline, consistency, and impact.

  • In addition to leading and developing a team of project managers, you will spend part of your time personally leading complex, high-impact change initiatives and helping strengthen delivery quality across the wider strategic change portfolio.

  • You will lead, coach, and develop the project and programme management team, building capability, strengthening project and programme management standards, and fostering a collaborative and consistent way of working.

  • You will act as senior project manager for complex, high-impact, multi-country initiatives, ensuring delivery on scope, time, budget, and intended benefits.

  • You will ensure adherence to governance, methodologies, lifecycle processes, reporting standards, and quality controls across the project and programme portfolio.

  • You will identify and address risks, issues, and blockers, support effective escalation, and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders to enable clear decision-making and strategic alignment.

What you will bring

Your unique potential and your values matter for us most. We look for people who are self-aware and who think in a holistic way, always conscious about their impact on society, environment, and the economy.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • a minimum of 5 years of experience in project and/or programme management, including at least 3 years leading large, complex change initiatives.

  • previous experience in banking, financial services, or another regulated industry.

  • proven experience with project and programme governance, risk management, and delivery within structured lifecycle frameworks.

  • be successful in leading multidisciplinary teams while switching comfortably between strategic oversight and hands-on delivery.

  • challenge status quo and respond to changing circumstances with sound judgement, clear prioritization, and timely action.

  • be customer oriented and provide clear direction on the “why”, influencing stakeholders and helping teams stay focused on value and outcomes.

  • enjoy working on partnerships, relationship building, and stakeholder management across complex, multi-country environments.

  • professional proficiency in English (spoken and written); Dutch is a strong plus.

Furthermore, it is desirable that you will have:

  • experience in leading teams and allocating resources across multiple priorities in a changing environment.

  • advanced knowledge of project and programme management methodologies and delivery lifecycles.

  • strong decision-making skills and the adaptability to operate effectively in evolving organisational contexts.

Your future colleagues

You will be reporting directly to the Head of Strategy Execution and cooperate closely with different leaders across the bank.

You will be leading a team of 12 Project Managers.
