Job Description
Job Title:  Product Manager - Being a Triodos Customer
Req Id:  868
Business area:  Customer Journeys
Job Location (Short):  LA Driebergen-Rijsenburg, NLD

Do you want to make a difference and contribute to creating a better world? Are you passionate about shaping banking products that combine commercial performance with meaningful societal impact? Join us, we are a frontrunner in ethical banking and global impact investing, and we need experienced product leaders to drive strategy and delivery.

We believe that money can change the world for the better. In fact, our organisation was founded on this belief. Our mission is to create a society that protects and promotes the quality of life of all its members with human dignity at its core.

Currently, we're strengthening our Being a Triodos Customer team — a dedicated, outcome-focused business unit that owns the customer foundation of the bank, from the moment someone joins us to every interaction that follows. Because the team plays a central role across all of our commercial activity, and we want to deepen our product strategy and delivery capability, we would like to bring on board an experienced Product Manager.

How you will make a difference

You will help us to 'change finance to finance change', by shaping banking propositions that combine commercial performance, regulatory soundness and meaningful societal impact. Reporting to the Value Stream Lead, you will act as both Product Manager and Product Owner within a cross-functional product team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Define and communicate a compelling product vision, aligned with Triodos' mission, impact ambitions, strategic objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Take end-to-end ownership from concept to launch, embedding products in business processes and ensuring value realisation
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, making data-driven trade-off decisions between business value, customer impact, risk and time-to-market
  • Ensure your team has access to the right multidisciplinary capabilities, coordinating dependencies beyond the core team when needed
  • Manage budgets and business cases, and track realised benefits against objectives after implementation
  • Drive continuous improvement using customer feedback, performance data and market insights
  • Build alignment across a complex stakeholder landscape, resolve conflicts, and work with marketing colleagues to support adoption
  • Coach junior product managers to support their growth and development

What you will bring

Your unique potential and your values matter for us most. We look for people who are self-aware and who think in a holistic way, always conscious about their impact on society, environment, and the economy.

Furthermore, you will bring:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in product management, within financial services
  • Experience with product compliance, business change and risk management, ideally in a regulated environment
  • An advanced degree or relevant certification in Scrum, Agile or product management
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bring diverse groups toward a shared outcome
  • Analytical skills and a comfort with using data to inform product decisions
  • Marketing acumen — an understanding of how to position products and support their adoption
  • Clear, supportive communication skills, able to translate strategy into direction your team can act on
  • Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written); Dutch is a strong plus

Your future colleagues

You will report directly to the Value Stream Lead for Being a Triodos Customer, or to a Senior Product Manager within the team.

You will work closely with Change Analysts who refine business and information requirements, with Software Engineers and Testers who deliver product features, and with country teams to ensure successful implementation of products across our markets. Beyond your immediate team, you will collaborate with colleagues in legal, risk and marketing to support compliance and customer-centricity.
