Currently, we’re looking for a highly motivated Senior Compliance Officer.

 

 

How you will make a difference:

 

 

You will be joining the Risk & Compliance team in the role of Senior Compliance Officer. The team is positioned in the second line and consists of co-workers in the domain of Operational Risk Management, Financial Risk Management and Compliance. The Compliance Officers work closely together on different compliance topics, such as AML/CTF, MAD/MAR, SIRA and more. Furthermore, Compliance supports the investment fund activities with professional expertise, and advice on the implementation of regulations regarding compliance. The department works in close co-operation with all departments within Triodos IM.

 

 

Together with three other Compliance Officers, you will:

 

  • function as a soundboard and sparring partner for the organisation and challenge the first line with regards to compliance related topics.
  • advise on and monitor compliance with relevant (inter)national laws and regulations (e.g. AMLD, MAR, AIFMD, UCITS). Experience with Luxembourg regulations is a plus.
  • provide oversight and advice on AML/CTF matters, including customer due diligence (CDD) and sanctions compliance.
  • monitor, evaluate, and challenge the organization in managing its compliance & integrity risks and ensure that adequate action is taken in follow up.
  • maintain and develop the compliance framework and guide the organisation in defining its risk appetite.
  • execute and maintain the monitoring program to assess adherence to applicable laws, regulations and internal policies.
  • oversee requests from regulatory authorities such as AFM and CSSF, supporting regulatory inquiries, inspections and reporting obligations.
  • prepare appropriate reporting for internal and external use.
  • provide awareness and training on compliance related topics.

 

 

 

 To be successful in this role, you will:

 

 

  • have the ability to combine a risk attitude with business understanding as to influence the organization in a positive, constructive manner both formally as well as informally.
  • have a critical and proactive attitude, yet able to adjust your working style and methods when needed.
  • have excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of clarifying complex compliance topics, methods and techniques to stakeholders at different levels.

 

 

 

Furthermore, it’s expected that you will have:

 

 

  • obtained knowledge and compliance experience in financial institutions, such as an institutional asset manager, a bank, insurance company or with (alternative) investment funds. Experience with emerging market investments is a plus.
  • knowledge with compliance legislation within the financial sector (European, Dutch and Luxembourg), and experience with translating the compliance legislation to the requirements for financial services and products.
  • experience with AML/CTF compliance framework, including CDD/KYC processes and sanctions compliance.
  • educational background in business administration, financial economics, econometrics, accountancy or law.
  • post graduate certificates within the compliance field (as a plus).
  • you are already located in the Netherlands (residence requirement).

  • a salary appropriate to the position, our remuneration policy and your experience, € 5,984 - € 7,480 (based on 36 hours per week)
