Are you looking for a role where commercial ambition and mission reinforce each other? By helping shape the bank’s strategy, you will support the next phase of growth of a leading impact challenger bank in Europe. Do you bring strong analytical skills, critical thinking, business judgment, and the ability to turn complex topics into clear recommendations? Are you curious, adaptable, and motivated by a dynamic environment?
If so, we would like to hear from you.
Triodos Bank's mission is captured in one line: ‘finance change, change finance’. Triodos brings together retail banking, business banking, and investment management under one roof, financing projects and businesses to create positive social, environmental, and cultural change. The Strategy Consultant takes the seat in Corporate Strategy, shaping the bank's next strategic cycle into board-level choices on growth and transformation.
How you will make a difference
In this role, you will work on high-priority strategic topics across the bank. You will help break down complex questions, structure analyses, generate insight from data and market input, and develop clear recommendations for senior stakeholders. You will own analysis or workstreams within larger projects and independently drive smaller strategic initiatives.
You will:
-
Advance our impact mission and ambitions by helping inform impact-risk-return decisions that lead to positive real-world impact.
-
Structure problems into clear hypotheses and analytical workstreams, focusing quickly on what matters most.
-
Lead analyses on strategic topics, combining data, analytics, market research and business insight to identify the key issues and opportunities.
-
Translate quantitative and qualitative findings into clear insights, implications and recommendations.
-
Own workstreams within broader strategic projects and independently deliver smaller initiatives end to end.
-
Support the corporate strategy cycle, including strategic reviews, planning and materials for decision-making.
-
Engage stakeholders across the organisation to gather input, challenge assumptions and drive follow-through.
-
Develop clear storylines, presentations and recommendations for senior audiences.
What you will bring
We are looking for someone with strong problem-solving ability, intellectual curiosity and a practical mindset. You are comfortable working with data, navigating ambiguity and moving between analysis, stakeholder engagement and communication.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
-
5–8 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a top-tier strategy consulting firm or 4 years in a comparable strategy role within banking
-
Curiosity and the ability to work across a broad range of topics, with the flexibility to adapt quickly to changing priorities and fast turnaround times.
-
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to work with data, understand underlying drivers and derive relevant strategic insights.
-
A structured, hypothesis-driven approach to problem solving, including strong prioritisation and 80/20 thinking.
-
Strong critical thinking with the ability to challenge assumptions, assess trade-offs and connect analysis to business value.
-
Experience in developing clear materials and slides for senior stakeholders.
-
Strong ownership and diligence, with the ability to coordinate input and ensure follow-through.
-
A proactive, growth-oriented mindset and a strong willingness to learn.
-
Professional proficiency in English, both spoken and written; Dutch is a strong advantage.
Your future colleagues
This is a moment of real change at Triodos. Corporate Development recently split in two: Eliza Zisopulu leads group and commercial strategy, and the Strategy Consultant reports directly to her, while strategy execution moved under a newly appointed Head of Strategy Execution. The Corporate Strategy team counts six strategy consultants and now falls under Triodos’ Chief Transformation Officer, part of a broader renewal of the Executive Board that also brought in a new CEO and a homegrown CIO. The bank itself changed shape around the same time – since July 1, it runs on value streams, agile teams with end-to-end ownership of a product and customer journeys.
What we offer you
-
an annual salary between € 76.752 and € 116.021 based on a 40-hour workweek

Who we are
As the largest pure-play impact bank in Europe, Triodos finances progressive entrepreneurs and works to make the banking sector more transparent, diverse, and sustainable. That mission dates back to 1980, when the bank was founded on the conviction that money can be used consciously to create positive social, environmental, and cultural change – from renewable energy and organic farming to social housing and the arts.
The bank is headquartered in Driebergen-Rijsenburg in the Netherlands and active in five European countries. It combines retail banking, business banking, and investment management under one roof, with strategy centered on financing the real economy and system change organized around five transition themes: energy, food, resources, society, and wellbeing. Triodos’ investment management arm extends the bank’s mission worldwide, running impact funds that contribute directly to the Sustainable Development Goals.
More than 1,800 people work at Triodos, serving over 740,000 customers and managing more than twenty billion euros in assets. In 2025, sustainable energy projects financed by the bank helped avoid eight hundred kilotonnes of CO2 emissions. The bank is a founding member of the Global Alliance for Banking on Values, holds B Corp certification, and has been listed on Euronext Amsterdam since June 2025. Decision-making runs on shared responsibility rather than hierarchy, with open dialogue built into how the organization works at every level. That culture was recognized in 2026, when Triodos ranked seventh among Europe's most inspiring workplaces – the highest-ranked bank on the list.
