Purpose
The Senior Regulatory Reporting Manager reports into the Head of Business Performance. In this key role you will be responsible for the management of the regulatory reporting function covering the review and sign off of returns, regulatory policy and governance around the regulatory returns. You may also periodically step in to production of reports to cover periods of absence within a small team.
This is an opportunity to play a key strategic role within a purpose-led organisation committed to making a positive difference for people and the planet.
This role offers flexible hybrid working, with some attendance required at our Bristol office.
Responsibilities
- Regulatory reporting: Own TBUK’s Prudential regulatory reporting, including COREP, FINREP, LIQREP, Bank of England Statistical reporting and other periodic or ad hoc returns submitted to the Bank of England and Prudential Regulation Authority, ensuring requirements are accurately interpreted and delivered on time.
- Regulatory change and compliance: Assess regulatory changes and implement appropriate solutions to maintain ongoing compliance, providing influence to relevant Group departments on TBUK divergence considerations.
- Reporting controls and governance: Maintain effective controls over the completeness, accuracy and consistency of regulatory reporting locally, ensuring processes and control checks are performed, documented and effective.
- Regulatory reporting framework and documentation: Ensure TBUK’s Regulatory Reporting Control Framework remains accurate, complete and effective, with clear documentation of assumptions, interpretations, processes, systems and data-flow mappings.
- Stakeholder and project management: Own key relationships with our external system provider Regnology, the Group Data and Analytics team, the Group Regulatory Reporting team and key contacts across business banking, while sponsoring and/or managing regulatory reporting projects such as the implementation of Basel 3.1.
- Regulatory oversight and accountability: Promote clear accountability across the business for data items impacting key regulatory reports, raising awareness and providing challenge where required; report on Prudential regulatory matters to the Audit Committee, Risk Committee and Board.
- Leadership and governance: The regulatory function has 2 other full time co-workers, this role holder will be responsible for the day to management and coaching of these co-workers.
What you will bring
- Strong experience producing or reviewing COREP (including own funds, asset encumbrance, large exposures and leverage ratio), FINREP, LIQREP (LCR, ALMM and PRA 110), Bank of England statistical returns and PRA 103–108.
- A strong working knowledge of the regulatory changes coming through under the Basel 3.1 regime.
- Significant experience in a financial or accounting function within a bank, together with a completed accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA or ACCA).
- Experience leading a team through tight deadlines, delegating effectively and supporting both the technical and professional development of two direct reports.
- Experience managing regulatory reporting schedules and work allocation, with the ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise effectively, and deliver accurate results on time.
- Experience using regulatory reporting and financial systems, with a track record of system improvement and clear documentation; experience with Onesumx or Regnology would be highly desirable. The role holder will also be the principal user of the BEEDS and RegData submission platforms and the key point of knowledge for PRA regulatory queries.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and SUMIFs, with strong experience analysing large and complex datasets and presenting findings clearly to a range of stakeholders.
- A self-motivated, detail-focused and independent approach, with minimal need for supervision, an ability to take ownership and a genuine affinity with Triodos’ values and concern for people and the planet.
