The Opportunity:
Join our fast-growing Business Banking team as Senior Relationship Manager for Sustainable Property. Drive growth in lending and shape our impact in the sector, supporting the development and operation of high-standard, sustainable properties. You’ll lead and grow a portfolio of clients, assess complex credit proposals, and promote our services across business sectors to facilitate positive change.
This high-autonomy role is perfect for someone with expertise in commercial lending and a genuine passion for sustainability. Enjoy hybrid working with regular client visits and access to offices in Edinburgh, Bristol, and London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate new business and lending opportunities
- Assess and present credit proposals to the UK Credit Committee
- Manage a portfolio of large borrowers (up to £20m), including syndicated loans
- Build strong relationships with business introducers and networks
- Support the Team Manager in developing new markets and deputise as needed
- Monitor risk and identify early warning signals
- Mentor colleagues and share knowledge
- Represent Triodos at events, promoting our values and services
About You:
You’re an experienced commercial lender with a passion for sustainable property and values-led banking. You excel in building and managing complex customer relationships and have advanced credit skills. Strong business financial understanding and customer service are key, alongside risk management expertise and confident communication.
Required Experience:
- Significant commercial lending and portfolio management experience
- Proven success in complex lending (up to £20m), ideally with syndicated loans
- Advanced credit assessment and property development expertise
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
- Relevant professional qualification desirable
